NBC News Technology reports that
a new California law has
been written by Senate leader Darrell Steinberg, a Democrat, to protect children
and teens. They will now be able to “erase” their mistakes online by being able
to delete their indiscreet photos, text and what have you from the internet. While
Facebook and other social media allows people to remove postings, this law will
help prevent these ill-advised postings, rants, raves, and photos from teens getting employment in the future,
getting into college or harassment and bullying from their peers which can have
disastrous and lethal effects. Hopefully other states will also enact similar
